Level 3 – Postnatal Thai Massage Diploma

Course Outline:

The Postnatal Thai Massage diploma is aimed to give students a deeper understanding of the postpartum period and provide effective practical methods of treating mothers after giving birth

The massage techniques are mainly taken from Thai massage, but are given a gentler more osteopathic approach than the traditional yoga style stretching normally associated with Thai massage.

We focus on 3 main elements which lead into each other. Starting with realignment of the entire muscular skeletal system, moving into re-establishing pelvic alignment, stability and abdominal core integration, and finally into abdominal massage for the internal organs and reproductive system.

One more unique aspect of this course is that we include breathing exercises and subtle movements which help mothers reconnect to the abdomen and pelvic floor to support the healing process after birth. Ideal for home and self-practice between massage sessions

Summary of Content

Cosmo is a Yoga teacher and Thai massage Instructor and his collaboration with Anna’s experience of massage and working with the female cycle has produced this well structured diploma for therapists who want to improve their skills in working with postnatal mothers.

The methodology works on the understanding that the entire muscular skeletal system is connected to the internal organs of the abdomen and reproductive system. Its Holistic approach enables practitioners to work effectively in stages with a treatment programme that embraces a longer term view regarding women’s health post pregnancy
